Media is something we consume on a daily basis, whether is be the internet, photography, books, etc. Media is just a way of mass communication through different things. We study Media to decode our consumption and find a better understanding of what we are consuming and why we are consuming it. My name is Selina Bain, and the main media product that I consume is Pinterest. Pinterest is not the most popular media product but is still widely used. Many people, like myself, uses Pinterest to build their creativity, to find helpful posts, or what we call them, pins and to get social with people around the world. It could be engaging to my age group because all while we create pins that cause us to have a little laugh, we also have pins that we could really relate to so, we are able to interact with many topics that we are interested in. Both politically and personally. By far the three things I find interesting in media studies is the information that we are able to acknowledge about how many media products are created and the main purpose it was created for, how to create our own media and engage certain types of audiences that we want to reach out to and the different types of media.
The 4 strategies I will need to successfully create my film is synergy, creativity, commitment and editing skills. With these, it will help me a lot with the theme I am going for and to pull my audience.
